Hello, and welcome to my site.
I am a drummer/percussionist/vocalist/voiceover artist. I am based in Chicago though, for the last 10 years or so, I have been touring much of Earth as drummer for Brian Wilson.
The major thrust of my work has been on the drum set—both live performance and recorded. I also teach and coach drummers. I work with beginning and advanced students. I teach at the North Shore Music Institute as well as in my home studio.
I have two studios where I can record drums, percussion and voice for any type of project.
In the 1980’s and 90’s, I was part of the vibrant, creative and very busy Chicago recording community, playing on several sessions every week, making records and commercials. Chicago was producing much of the commercial advertising music in the U.S. then and I had the good fortune to be right in the middle of all that creative adventure at a young age. I had the rare opportunity to play with, and learn from, some of the best musicians, producers and writers in the world on a daily basis, creating music in just about every conceivable style and genre.
In addition to playing with Brian Wilson, I’ve had the pleasure recording and/or touring with violinist Jerry Goodman, blues/folk legends David Bromberg and Richie Havens, and the Godfather of Spoken Word, Ken Nordine.
Among the many highlights for me was winning a Grammy Award in 2005, for the Brian Wilson Album, “Smile”.
I am supported by and endorse Tama Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Protection Racket Cases, Brady snare drums and Vic Firth sticks and mallets.
